The incumbent serves as official driver as part of a rotating team of three drivers assigned to the Marine Security Guard Detachment, operating government-owned motor vehicles.  Additionally transports, as needed, other Embassy personnel, documents, materials and equipment and drives for VIP visitors as required.  Completes trip tickets and keeps daily records.  Also performs minor maintenance and safety checks of vehicles.  Performs other duties as needed.

Experience: Minimum three years of chauffeur experience in Seoul area is required. 

This may be tested: 

Language: Level II (Limited knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing English and Level III (Good Working Knowledge) Speaking/Reading/Writing Korean is required.  Shortlisted applicants will be invited to take an English language test unless official English language test scores (TOEIC scores of at least 225/ TOEFL scores of at least 42) are submitted with application.

Job Knowledge: Must be familiar with local traffic regulations and traffic patterns. Requires a wide knowledge of road network of city and surrounding area. 

Skills And Abilities: Must be able to perform minor automotive repair work. 

Licensing: Must have a level 1 driver’s license. Armored Vehicle Driver Training may be provided every 5 years.

Education Requirements: Completion of High School is required.
